Power Stroke Vs. Triton V10

Sold my 1997 PSD with 297,000 onit. Built a chevy gas truck and I couldnt wait to sell that POS. got me another 7.3. My last monster truck (just a big 4x4) got 5mpg it was a bored out 454. My PSD gets 12-14 on 40" tires and I can run down the road all day long, tons of power and I can still tow too.

My 01- 7.3 has 165,000 on it and I have replaced the water pump at 144,000. Belts at 100,000. I feel you come out better with diesel if you are keeping your truck over 100.000 miles and working it.
If you don't drive much you might as well buy gas. I run 17 to18 miles per emepty on the hy. 10 to 11 mpg pulling a 10,000 lb 5 th wheel. May be somebody will say how there gasser compares to this.

Theres a reason why big rigs run diesel engines...
More power, better milage, longer lasting engine, and diesel fuel is usually cheaper... Diesels were ment to be worked.
Hell my 7.3 gets better milage then my newly rebuilt 5.0 in my F250 and the 7.3 got double the hp and triple the tq.

I use to be against diesels too back in the day. I would always see "increase your diesel by 75hp, 100hp, 200hp,300hp at the wheels with a chip" then my F250 took a dump and I wanted to try out a diesel... Then I got the bug and started modding it. been on there sence.
