Yes exactly, but unfortunately the last 20-30 years, the American Car companies decided to allow bean counters to make all corporate decisions and the heck with customer service or standing behind their product. There are numerous examples of this, FMC = Pinto, Explorer, Cruise Control; GM, Truck ABS system etc. Until the Feds or Court system beats them into submission that refuse to repair defects. The American Big 3 car companies are their own worst enemy and they wonder why they continually lose market share to Foreign car companies. Toyota is a prime example, they have had issues with some of their cars and trucks, and as soon as it is brought to their attention they immediately issue a repair order and give you a loner car while the repair is being made. The Foreign car manufactures understand what the American Big 3 forgot, customer service is the most important aspect of a business.
