big build

i figured id put this one here...i know its not ford or ford powered...but its gunna take a lot of custom fabricating...ALOT..

im gunna start building a cummins 8.3l(504cube) pulling motor, buyin a 68-76 dodge 3/4 ton pickup(body and frame, maybe just body) gunna have to do a sh*t load of work to the frame or make a tube chassis, weldin a huge rear end to the frame, the front will have alittle suspention, gota get ahold of a very large front end, gunna have to buy or build a trans, and drop box style tranfer case...

Gene at nadm said i could build it can bring it where ever i wanted as an exhibiton vehicle for now and possibly start a new Outlaw super stock pulling class...8000lb limit,600ci limit,4x4 diesel class....theres a lot of guys who have built pullin pickups around the dt466 but im more of a cummins guy...so im gunna spend alittle more time and money and build the 8.3...

will post pics as it comes along..may be a while before i start but by atleast next winter i should have it bout dun...hopin to have it hook able by 2012 season...

from what everybody ive talked to has said i should be able to get 1000-1500hp easy with one turbo...2000+ if i run a full twin or tripple turbo setup...gunna run stock head bolts for the time being just so i can blow the head off instead of blowing the bottom end out of it till i get it all figured out...
the truck itself will be all black with a white grill, and weight bar and be named Jett Black...in memory of our black lab we named our racin team after when we were racin...the white stuff on the front is cuz he had a small white spot on his chest...

Sounds like a fun build up! Can't wait to see pictures, and that's a good way to honor your black lab. I'd say go for the most power possible, cause more is better

64-4x4 has a little shameless behaviour in the past
This sounds like a fun build, what combine is the engine coming out of?
