also its wise to atleast lock the front end up once a month for a drive to keep it all lubed up... lubes the gears in the carrier, as well as gets the u-joints turning. that helps keep the needle bearings greased as over time it will dry up and then burn out when it is needed.. same with the hub lock dials..
