Well... just saw that there is now a 6.0L PSD forum and wanted to be the first to post in it.

Here is the good news....

My '03 Excursion 6.0L PSD runs like a dream....

1) Built March 1, 2003
2) Bought August 2003
3) Current mileage - 89,900 miles
4) Have all 8 original injectors (C94's)
5) Only have ever had re-flashes done (as far as motor is involved)
6) Only had lower radiator hose that rubbed repalced (warrenty)

Truck is stock except for mods listed below in my signature.

Run PowerService in every tank of fuel

Change fuel filters every 15,000 miles (using Racor/OEM filters)

Change oil & filter every 5,000 miles (using Racor/OEM filters)

Change air filter every 30 - 40,000 miles (OEM with blue media)

Change coolant every 50,000 miles with (Ford Premium Gold Coolant)

Glad to hear the good report there Beach. Gives me high hopes for my 06.

Something to be said for regular maintance.

Well, I've got an '06 F250 6.0L. 15,000 miles.

I've done 4 oil changes.
I've replaced the tranny fluid 2 times.
I've replaced all 8 injectors.
I've replaced all 8 Glow Plugs.
I've had the engine out for a total of 3 weeks.
I'm putting on my second set of tires.

And I'm having SOOO much fun!!

Two tranny changes. #1, new multi-disc torque converter. #2, pulled engine for fun stuff.

8 Injectors. Thanks goes to Bean's Diesel Performance for Stage II Injectors.

8 Glow Plugs. Just playing it safe since we had it all apart anyway. cheap.

Engine Out. Head Studs, Injectors, Return Regulated Fuel System.

Tires. I can't keep them from smoking! I don't know.confused This baby runs the quarter in the low 12's. Gotta love that NOS gas.

I'm making a site so I can show her off a bit. I'll put a link when I get it done in a few months. I'm a bit busy at work currently and the strips are closed for the season anyway.
