So I am looking at F150's and do not know enough about the internals to make an informed decision.
So I want a truck with transistorised ignition and a carburettor, I want it as mechanically simple as possible, but don't want to $$$ around with points ignition, setting the gaps and so forth.
This will be my first car, I have ridden motorcycles for 25 years and am a qualified motorcycle mechanic, so no stranger to wielding a spanner but having never touched a car before I don't know what I am looking at.
What years do I look at? I personally like the 70's trucks, but I don't know if they would be suitable.
I also want one that has a long model run so parts are easy to get, an engine that I can rebuild at home and parts easy to get for them.
Oh and what things do I watch out for?
