I agree. Those headlights in the higher temperature ranges are pretty annoying.

I absolutely loved my Rigid lights; had a set on the Bronco. Fantastic light output and solid build quality - I will not purchase any other brand for off road lighting.

Trying to develop a plan on where to mount everything. Since the switch leads and the battery leads are only 4', I think I will mount the relay(common connection between the battery leads and switch leads) on the firewall in the middle somewhere.

The light leads themselves are 10', so I should have enough wire to get to each light from the relay, and still keep things tucked out of the way.

Since I don't really want to cut a 3/4" hole in the dash, I'm thinking about cutting an access hole in the front of the ash tray, then cutting another hole in the back of the ashtray to run the wires. I already have a spare ash tray(same color) that I can replace if this doesn't work out.

I'm also thinking about mounting the lights themselves on top of the bumper guards. The metal is thick enough so a 5/16" hole drilled into the top of the guard won't ruin the integrity of the guard. That will also get the lights a little farther off the ground. This should be an advantage, both for protection and for aiming purposes.

Will you get glare from them if they're higher ? Do you want measurements to where the factory fog light holes are on the bumper ?

On one of my boats, I didn't want to drill any holes so I took that stick epoxy and epoxied the side of the switch to under the dash where it was easily accessible.

Looks like it's 3.25" c to c from the top bumper bolt to the hole . Holes to the outside.
