Blast from the past

I was looking for something else this evening and ran across these shots of my '75 Mach 1 as it came to an end April '77..... it was fun while it lasted

Ouch! I'm afraid to ask what happened.

A truck ran me off the road and I had to take the ditch. The unibody collapsed when it was pulled back over.

Oh man. That sucks. But it's amazing how much that happened to old muscle cars that you hear stories about

Looks like you went for quite a ride. Any injuries?

Looks like that would have been a wild ride. The damage didn't look to bad at three time of the pictures.

They must have rolled it over wrong or something, they aren't that weak.

I had a hell of a ride similar to that, but in a little Datsun 510... It looked a bit worse, and the unibody held up when rolled back over, but there wasn't much room in the driver window... We towed it home, and then fired it right up and drove it to the shed. I couldn't watch movies and tv shows that put you in the car when they rolled over for a very long time, gave me flashbacks. I attribute my main back issues to that wreck.

Nothing serious, just a small cut where I bit my lip. I wasn't wearing my seatbelt - when it was obvious it wasn't going to end well, I grabbed the wheel and slid down under the dash. The driver's side of the roof came down to the seat back.

When it was pulled upright (you can see where the tow truck is parked) it took the berm right between the wheels and I saw it buckle when it came down.

The highway patrolman had trouble believing I was the driver cause I was out directing traffic when he rolled up.
