How long ago did you do all this fabrication? Did the geometry work out well on the shackle?

Ummmm.....

eerrrrr.....

well.....

The first pic was taken in 2009 and I just finished the engine today. Most of this stuff has been a very slow work in progress over the past 4 years.

The shackle is slightly kicked back (maybe 5* off vertical) with no weight on the front at all. I assume I will be close to 20* off vertical under full weight.

I was playing around with the leaf springs on my 1994 at one point and I wasn't ready to commit to moving the shackle hanger. I was just curious, not a trick question.

Longer shackles will only work if the springs are also longer. Otherwise your angles will get goofy

Hey, you're further along with your build than other forum members.

How soon till you're back in the mud?
