Yup. They're not worth a whole lot. I'm thinking if I get $300 for it I'll be happy. And thanks!

I'll stick with my rustoleum charcoal thank you, it matches the caliper brackets.

I'm thinking that this coming winter I'll be able to finish this project (4.56's, ARB's) with the "new" axle.

money_pit is on a distinguished road
Now was the time to shim the king pins before you put the tre's on. Put a shim/big thin washer under the cap or steering arm you intend to use and tighten it down. Try moving the arm back and fourth to check for binding. I always shim it into a bind then remove the shims till it turns freely.

I was planning on doing that before it goes under the truck. But thanks for posting the info.

Update

I now have the u-joints for the knuckles and new non-neck down axleshafts and 35 spline outer stub shafts are on the way.

Hopefully I'll have this project wrapped up over what's starting to look like a long winter.

Lee, I'd like to find a set of original hubs for my D60. If you run across a set let me know.

35 spline stubs and non-neck down Spicer shafts showed up last week. If you're used to D44 sized stuff the size of this D60 stuff is pretty impressive. I'll have to snap some pics, what good is a build up write up without pics!

Edit, pics snapped.

Ordered this http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=292{5}39 yesterday. No more low hanging u-bolts for me!!!

......................and oooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh look at what's below my signature, bwahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!
