Nice truck. 333 engine? If I remember right, that was a 3 cylinder tractor engine? Maybe 361.........

That engine most likely is the 361 FE block truck engine.

More than likely in 77 it was the 351M with the NP435 stump puller 4 Speed transmission, I had one with the same specs, but with a 10 foot flat bed instead of a dump for my first vehicle. 76 was the last year of the 360/390 FE engines, and 77 was the first year of the 351M / 400 engines., unless someone swapped an FE engine in to it. Which is possible, but not likely.

The 361 truck engine(FT) was used through 1978. They also had a 391 engine(361 with a longer stroke.)

Weren't the FT engines 361, 391 in the larger Ford trucks, that is larger than an F-350, more like the F-500, F-600 and up through 78. For the light trucks f-100 to F-350 from 77 to 79 the 351M / 400 used? And up to 76 the FE engines in the light trucks f-100 to F-350? Unless someone might have swapped in an FT engine, if that's possible.
