LOL...Ive had the love of hot rods & classic rides since 12.
Im 49 now,an this is the only classic that Ive had,an only had it for 3 yrs.
My wife seen an add in the paper for 350.00 bucks,we went down an looked
at it,so she decided it would be an early b-day gift.Bought it an I drove it
home.I think I only started on working on it last yr.

Looks to be in nice shape bodywise.

Looks to be in nice shape bodywise.

The truck has a little crease in the driver side headlight bezzle an
the front of the bumper has a slight bend in the bumper.Nothing
major on the body but acouple of real small dings.
It does have alittle rust cancer in thefender an rocker panels, but
just alittle pin hole stuff.
All the front end bushings need replaced, door wheather strip.
Other than that, its all pretty solid.

Not bad at all for the age!

Thats a really nice truck for that $$$ outlay

Not bad at all for the age!

No,not bad,It was an awsome score for what I paid for it.The guy was getting
rid of 2 of them because he had moved to the coast. The other one was a 1 ton dually with a service bed on it.The bed was one that Ive never seen.It
was a flat bed with low boxes,It was pretty nice bed & truck,I think he only
wanted $500.00 for it.If I had the money an spot to put it,I would have
bought it also.
My truck,I drove it home,The only thing that Ive done to the engine when
I got it was changed the oil,put a new rem power steering pump,an installed
new valve cover gaskets, pressure washed engine an painted it.
Also changed the tranny fluid an gasket.Oh,an put new points & condensor.

Thnx Man...
Since the interior is like an earth tone,an Im getting a wood grain steering
wheel.
Im thinking on trying to custom fabricate some nice wood grain arm rest
outta wood. They are exspensive to buy new an used, hard to find the
right color used.

Oh,an no HEMP....'peace'

^^^ I agree. Nice truck. Like the wheels. Mark, I thought you were cursing when I saw the dollar signs. It took me a while to figure out they were just dollar signs. :D

Went to my bosses house today to pick up acouple old mowers because
he's retiring an moving. He's a wood fanatic ,an told him that I had an
idea to make some nice arm rest out of wood,an he showed me this,
an gave it to me...:WooHoo: ...So,going to try to get started on it
soon,I cant wait to see how they turn out with the rest of the interior
of the truck...:)

What kind of wood is it?

That would be pretty durable in a vehicle.

It looks kinda like mahogany , Duncan.

That is correct...
He did have black walnut, but he didnt want to turn loose of it,an
I didnt dare ask him for any of his ebolla wood,I think think thats what
you call it,that stuff came from another country.:)

Thnx Guy's.Im going to try to get these going.I have an arm rest I think
from a dent, its more of a flatter arm rest that I will use as a pattern...:)
