So your thread inspired a day of research for me.

It looks like to tune a 1994, you need an "F3" chip to plug in the EEC as a permanent fixture, and at a minimum "Jaybird" chip that is the medium to hook it up to the computer via USB. Those will set you back $135, so no big deal up to that point.

Most of the softwares look free to flash the chip, so I'm digging and getting very interested. Then I find an engine "strategy" that I want from a 1995 Lightning... cool, it's available.

Then I found out they wanted $200 for the licensing of that "strategy"!!!!
