I keep fishing line in my toolbox, so that when I go to unthread or rethread a bolt in a particularly difficult location, I loop a length around the threads wind it a few times... the remainder around a finger. after the bolt is out/sufficiently started I simply pull it loose to tighten it down. This way I don't drop the bolt.
I'm clumsy enough that I NEEDED this solution, and it works on the smallest of fasteners.
