Ebolla. Isn`t that a disease you really don`t want to have?smilietease

Really like the truck, cb.

Thnx...Ebolla is a tree that I think comes from a rain forest,an
is endangered,maybe in South America.Its a pretty wood,has dark
an light grains.its nasty to cut,the saw dust will burn an irritate your
nose,blister the nostrals.

That looks very nice. Are you going to add any padding?

No padding, the wood will have a clear coat on it,Ill just be glad that there
will be a arm rest.It feels funny not having nothing there...

Oh,im hoping to have some wood left over to do a cup holder..

curious.. how much quieter did it get after you stuck the sound matting to the floor??

Well.I can barely hear my engine run,its pretty quiet in the cab,but I have
just stock muffler. It is holy.It maybe a different ball game with high per-
formance exuast.
I dont hear no road noise.

I didnt use the regular automotive sound deadner,I used that foiled bubble
insulated bubble rap that they use on pipe.I think given that combined
with the coating,an carpet,it deadened the sound by 75%.

That dynamat must be pretty good,I see the guy's on the car builds use
it.But I dont know what the cost is.I can always get some later an redo
mine,nothing is glued down.
The stuff that I used was just laying around at work...an the idea popped
up in my head that I can use it for my floorboard... Its 2 sided foil
with air pockets in the middle...:)

Well, got my arm rest cut,an pancaked together. Now al I have to do is
shape them,put a final sand,clear coat,an install.
I will try to get one done soon...I felt like I done something productive
today instead of being a forum pig....smilieFordlogo

cook idea for sure...

Dynamats expensive.. for 9 sheets of .67" thick 24"x48" its normally around $450.. right now its on sale for about half that...

Summits got their own version thats .59" thick.. sold in bundles of 18 but its only 23"x12".. its running $172 atm.. but dont know how good it is at quieting.. yeah its nice that its cheaper.. but your using more sheets to cover the same total area as dynamat would..

when i was trying to figure out how much id need just for the floor of the truck earlier it was about 4 almost 5 of dynamat.. summits was closer to 10 since it covered less area per sheet..

Thnx Guy's...I started shaping them,Im using a hand grinder an its burning
the wood,Im only rounding the edges,I showed my wife,an she says to
leave it like that an not sand it afterwards,it will give it that rustic look.
