Theres a couple different methods to do it. But the best one is to pull the motor, If I remember correctly it doesnt use a gasket, uses special grey rtv as a gasket. And to get the pan back in without disturbing the sealer is sometimes tricky.
Ditto on pull the engine... the pickup tube hangs way low so getting it out and not bending the snot out of the pan because of the sealant they use is tough. Perfect time to seal up the dipstick tube while its out
