Sure what it sounds like. That is exactly how a trans brake works. I am not sure how they hydraulic circuits are exactly on the 4R100's, so don't know if they use shift solenoids for every clutch...

Make sure the pushrod on the pedal is set right. You should have an adjustable rod on that year. Also be sure your bushing isn't sloppy.

You haven't answered what year your truck is, so it can be different. 87-91 had a canister looking device on the frame rail ahead of the front tank, 92-97 have a check valve in the fuel lines...

Location, location, location... If you crank drive it, the distributor then has to be down low, generally in front. Also, the distributor relates more to valve opening than piston location really....
