I was thinking about dumping the old bench seat and getting some bucket seats have any of you guys done this?
Any body make any kits to do the install?

There's some nice ones around, and some guys use Bronco buckets.

Depends on how much work ya wanna put into it Tex. I've seen a lot of things done right on vehicles i worked on.....and some things i just claim to not have ever seen before.

Well Tex, it depends on how in depth you wanna get. All it reallly takes is drill a few holes, add a few spacers, plug the old ones and wahoo you have your bucket seats.....not all that hard in my books.

OK I all I need to do is get the mounting brackets off a 79 ford bronco and the seats :) and that's all I need.

If ya like that seat, go ahead and get em. Worked on a 55 Ford F-100 that had bucket seats outa a Lincoln that was power everything imaginable and also had heaters installed. To say the least i hated carrying those things.

I believe you'll still have to fabricate the brackets a bit to make buckets from the Bronco's fit in the truck since the trucks never came out with buckets. I think it would be the easiest way to go. I could never really find a good seat for my rig and if I did find one, it had to be shipped which would cost a bunch, so I just went with a 40-20-40 seat from a place call discount truck van. They made a seat to the color scheme I wanted and had a bracket that'd fit these trucks. Cost me over $500 though.
