Where do I find the code, I looked in the manual and it says either on the ECM or the card but there's no card, so where's the ECM on the Explorers?

Look in the left rear compartment. Close to the opening, just forward a little, theres a module. Use a prybar to gently pull the panel away from the module. The number should be on the side.
