Pretty sweet. If they can get 500 horsepower from the 6.2 with just a little tuning, imagine what forced induction will do?

This this is gonna have some serious potential.

Wow awesome. I love Fords new engines, the 5.0 (from 4.6) the 5.8 (from 5.4) and the new 6.2. Otherwise known as the 302, 351, and 390... smilieFordlogo

EDIT: Wow, third in its class for a pre-production truck? Dayum. YelloThumbUp

The best part is the majority of the truck is factory equipment (all of the other competitors have custom built rigs). THAT is built Ford tough, my friends. :)

I couldnt even imagine what these pro guys could do with this truck... especially the way it comes stock. :guns:

I like it...Hopefully I can get some shots of mine finishing that race!!!

There has been rumors and leaks in a lot of places since the last couple of years. For instance this post here:

this page talks about the rumors too on the bottom.

I see were the confusion is.......the 5.8 would be based on the 6.2, not the 5.4.

" As a result, 2009 models are said to get freshened styling, underskin improvements, and a new "Hurricane" V8 in either 5.8-liter and/or 6.2-liter sizes."

Yeah, that makes sense. Its really hard to know what Ford will actually do in 2-3 years though. I really like the ideas:

*Bringing back old displacement figures for engines
*From 95Bronk's post: New F100 and Bronco
*Ecoboost 350hp+ engines
*World car development
*renewed diesel interest in models

To name a few.

Ford stock has gone up 250% in the last 2 weeks. :D
