What is the make of the axle and how strong is it?

my 97 has a 9.75" with 3.73 gears...i believe its a Sterling, but don't quote me on that, and it seems to be a pretty strong axle

If you're thinking of using it on your truck you should know it has different wheel stud measurements. It's a tad bigger if I'm not mistaken.

Yep- different than what's on the pickup. From '03 on, waaay diffferent (as in, not even remotely related).
