FTFS Designated DRINKER!
Hello every one, I need, and i'm not sure what they are called but the little plastic square pieces that are pushed in to the frame so you can screw the marker lights in to. I can't find them in any of my catalogs and the auto parts store guys went duuh when I asked them, any one know where I can find them or any ideas hot to make some? thanks every one..

Those look very similar to the license plate mounts. I bet if you go to an O'reilly's or napa nearby, you will find them near the section with those red "HELP" cards.

You should be able to get them at any parts store. I know Napa has auto body rack with all kinds of different clips, nuts, door panel fasteners, etc and those are there. Not sure the exact size, but there are different ones. Many parts guys these days don't have a clue. And if for some reason you can't find them at the parts store, I know LMC truck has them on page 138 of their online catalog.

Many catalogs don't show those little parts like that.

They are called Push nuts

and are available at ANY body shop supply place

Dennis nailed it. Auto body supply shops have boxes and boxes of weird clips and such.

Yes...the parts stores have a few in the help section, but a body shop supply is the easiest place to search through as many as you want until you find what you need.

The one I go to...has them all glued on boards (each board has a different type of clip) and you just pick up the board with the type you want...then look for the correct size.

If ya don't have the Auto Body supply house, sometimes just a trip to the body shop itself can yield great results, lol.
On my convertible, I had just had a new rear window made up for it by a local upholsterer. I went to zip it back into place, and the Talon (zipper-pull thingy) broke off in my hand! I checked fabric stores, convertible supplies, etc... couldn't get any concrete results. then I passed an auto top specialist in town, went inside and explained my predicament, and he just opened a drawer and handed me one, lol!

There's a REASON for that song, hehe....
I have been there; three grocery warehouses, two truck stops, a feed nukk and a fertilizer bagger... I know there's more to the town, but I didn't get to see it :rofl2:

I went to a O'reilly's and found a old timer and told him what I needed and he walked over to a isle and walked back and handed me a box full of them, and said these punks don't know any thing about cars or trucks. lol

there used to be a frito lay plant *yeah as in fritos the corn chip* and a TI plant *yeah those big fancy calculators* as well. now TI is the largest ATT call center supposedly in the country and Xfab makes those wafers for something or another in the same buildings. guess what we are getting though, opening in 2 days.... an oreilleys warehouse. buddy of mine is on their overnight security detail and half my warehouse has left for a better paying job over there or at one of those grocery warehouses you speak of, also owned by the place i work for, llano logistics.

any town can have a song written about it though. i mean seriously, james mcmurtry wrote levelland and robert earl keen made it more popular. there's a video of the original on youtube and the skeleton cotton gin he's singing in is the coble switch gin about 8 miles west of levelland. i wld have been living not 200 yards from it had i actually ended up marrying that idiot. not only is there lubbock in the rear view mirror *which if you listen till the end he comes back* but our very own idiot extraordinare natalie maines of the chixie... oops dixie chicks sang lubbock or leave it and not ready to make nice.

now as for what this city actually has??? ... not a damn thing worth wasting time coming here for unless you have a blowing dirt fetish.

Used to be a weekly run for me in the 90s; And, I happen to be a big Mack Davis fan. lol, so yes, I knew he came back. Watched him many years ago on the Merv Griffin show as a guest, and he cracked me up.
Oh. and not just blowing dust; Cottonseed hulls!
I had heard about O'reillys opening a DC there, and it was going to be this big deal; A friend here is one of their store managers. Seems to me he said that DC will speed up access for the hard-to-find parts, too.

yeah most everyone i know here is ready for it because there won't be the two day delay to get things from their OK DC. i've heard both ways as to whether they'll have a sales counter in the warehouse but just getting same day svc on stuff they have to "order" will be a big improvement. my returns coordinator well, old returns coordinator, will be working returns over there and she's excited about it.

got a friend that's working for sentinel right now hauling crude and says they're always needing drivers with a brain. if you're interested in oil field driving that is. he does overnights and gets compensated very well for it.

we keep getting people asking if we need drivers but our trucks don't require cdls and the pay is CRAP. i mean seriously one guy left cuz he was making like 8.50 an hour after 3 years of driving and a raise each year. like i said, crap.
