Hey everyone..

I got a new job restoring old chrome trim for Mopars.. Its a pretty serious process and he makes pretty good money. Now, what about doing that for ford trucks/cars?

Im seriously thinking i would like to branch off and do my own thing. I know whats needed now and what to do. I think that would be pretty sweet. Any ideas? Anyone wanting to let me practice on any of their chrome trim? :)

If you do get into it, I'll be calling you here in about two years without hesitation...

Not sure what the restoration means, but re-chroming means serious chemicals. The EPA has shut down many, many shops because of it.

Before you jump off on your own...it would be worth checking on.

re-chroming costs a lot of $$$$ to get done for sure.

Go to advanced plating and take the tour. It is an awesome process including repair work, straightening, and the plating processes.

I found it facinating...now if I could just afford it. :(
