While going through my late father-in-law's (and my trucks PO) stuff, I found a brass looking plate about 2"x5" with the Ford logo and the numbers
D7TE-5E212-E8A followed by EX 8 066. Any ideas?

I am just guessing here, but it sounds like an old ID tag from an old car, maybe a model A or T??

It's called a convertor and goes on the exhaust system and from the suffix.....on an 80's Truck

That's off a 400 block, the HEAD to be specific. '75 to '79, thereabouts.
The numbers that follow have to do with the valve/rocker configuration.
