Check out this TSB from Scamsoil!

Sounds like they have gotten into deep poo-poo claiming their NON-API certified oils can run for 25K miles! Notice with these "sludge prone" vehicles, they are recommending to use their ONLY API certified oil for gasoline engines (XL), and they are saying to stay with the vehicle manufacturer's recommended oil change intervals!!

Check out these oils that meet VW & Audi's oil requirements. There are no Scamsoil products listed, but Mobil 1 is there!!

I also contacted Blackstone Labs, and they confirmed that an UOA would not detect an oil sludging problem!

I'm sure Jeff (Beachbumcook) will add his $0.02!

What a bunch of hooey.... and Amsoil knows it!!!!

They post on their site, but I can asure you they will not send anything out to their customers or dealers!!! That would just make for bad PR on a wide-scale basis.

They post on their site and re-write some of their literature to cover their asses... but in the end... it is "buyer beware" and they will not spend time or money to ruin the "marketing message" of their extended drain philosophy which is what they need and use to justify the high price of their oils!!!!!

Buy a name brand, quality oil and change it on schedule... plain and simple!!!! The use of a by-pass might offer some assistance... but it is not a substitute for regular oil and filter changes... again on time!!!!!
