Had the worst stuck ball joint stud I've ever seen today. 04 mazda tribute....just needed to replace the pass side axle. Lube, heat, didn't work. Used a chisel to expand the opening of the spindle...no luck. Even after the spindle broke off one of the "ears" around the stud, it still wouldn't budge. Finally got my splitting maul for extra hitting power.....let loose after 6 or 7 swats.
