I am going to be doing the rear main seal on my 460 soon, but I have always wonder what the air injection system was on this engine? Its ugly as hell and makes the engine compartment look messy, but my question is will it effect the engine poorly if removed? I am not concerned about inspections because I know to many mechanics that wouldnt care about stuff like that but I dont want to remove it if its going to hurt performance. I also got headers that are air injected, would that screw those up on the exhaust end if I didnt have it any more? Any help would be appreciated.
