Ability to "tune" up a 4R70W

Rumor has it you can make an 1/8 of a turn on something inside the trans to make it shift a little harder.

Anybody heard of this?

You can turn the EPC solinoid screw to increase the PSI which will give firmer shifts, never seen it done on a 4r70, just 5r55's.. But as long as the solinoid has the screw on the back it'll work.

Where would that be located if it had one. My trans shop said it was there but didn't get into detail.

People have been turning up the PSI in automatic transmissions since the 60s and maybe earlier. I had a 72 torino that would snap your neck, however it was very rough on U-joints and rear tires. :headbang:
