Me and my dad have differing opinions. He seems to think they are pressed into the spindle. And you haft to replace the spindle to get new ball joints. Ive seen them done on everything including a 97 f450 4wd. And i know you dont haft to replace the spindle.

So whos rights.

And how the hell do you get them out? and new ones in.

As far as I know you can use an air chisel thing with a fork or press 'em out. I'm positive you don't have to replace the spindle, though..

Edit; mind you.. you have to grind off the rivets if they're original first.

Some are pressed in, and held on the other side with a snap ring, some are in the spindle, some are in the control arms. Some, you have to replace the control arms (example..05 mustang)
