What is a nice 55 f100 worth?

There is a guy not to far from here that has a 55 f100 with a 390 & automatic on the column.the truck has california plates on it & the body has no rust at all,it has chrome mags on it & inside the cab is new chrome valve covers still in the box,the truck has been sitting for about 2 yrs in a field the guy said "it ran when parked" & it would not take much to get it started again
the truck is in good shape,he said that he wont take anything less than $6000
he also said that he cant find the title but he will help anyone buying it to get the title,so what do you think?

Need to see some pics Bob for an honest opinion...As far as the title.if he is the titled owner and your really serious about buying it..I would have him get a duplicate made from the BMV...There can be a great deal of red tape otherwise,pending where you live.

Depends what state you are in. As a resident of NJ avoid it. Its a almost impossible to get new title in NJ with out a existing title or transferable registration
