just pulled engine out of my 99 f350 5.4 4wd crewcab. what year 5.4's will I be able to use and from what trucks? Also I was offered a 01 f150 5.4 CNG motor can I use the long block? any help is appreciated!!

1997-03 2V 5.4 is what you will be looking for. I don't think the CNG motor will be good unless you get the computer as well.

I have the 99 f350 5.4L that needs replacing and I just happen to find an 03 van 250 or 350 with 5.4 117,000 miles. looks ok when i looked at it quickly. Can I use this long block and switch my intake and exhaust manifolds and oil pan, valve covers over? Will pulleys and outside nonsense stuff bolt on without any issues. I have aluminum intake and the 03 looked like plastic. What do you all think?

Everything will transfer fine. I personally like the plastic intake better as it has a boss for a mechanical water temp guage. Just make sure all the pullies are either a 6 rib or 8 rib. I am actually in the process of putting a 99 5.4 in my 02.
