Exhaust manifold

I need to replace a Exhaust manifold on a 88 f350. I dont know whether to get the one with the air reactor system or not. The difference is some where built before 2/88 and others after. Anyway to figure this out? I tried running the vin # at ford and asking the live help there but no go.

What engine? Do you mean the EGR system?

460, no the left side manifold. When I look up parts theres two different manifolds. One has a air reactor the other doesnt.

On the door it should say month and year your truck was made on driverside.

Is that for the chassis or the whole truck?

The build date covers the whole truck. Easy way to tell which manifold you have is by looking to see if there is any little tubes running to the manifold. If all you have is the cast iron part that bolts to the head and to the exhaust pipe, then you have the non-air reactor type. There would be 4 small tubes that screw in right by each exhaust port in the manifold by the head if it is the air reactor type.
