My question is...it seemed there was more crap added to engines over that time period...so I woulda thought cost of ownership would increase. Unless of course it was either a matter of implementing more quality parts/items, thusly, longer lasting and better wear characteristics, or if they just started understanding what they were producing better...or if these numbers were simply pushed to sell new vehicles.
