Brake pressure.

Hello.

I have a 1983 F150 with the 300 straight six.

My brakes work well, but every once and a while I will have little or no brake fluid pressure. (Not fun) It is getting more and more frequent. What could be going bad here?

Master cylinder? Brake booster?

Master cylinder. Easy to replace and cheap. Don't forget to bench bled.

If there is no loss of fluid, then master is the primary suspect. The seals may be failing, which allows for the occasional pressure dump. It eventually becomes a continual pressure loss.

Got it swapped out. Works great now. Good tip on the bench bleed too.
