Electric choke wire.

Coming from the choke, can this be attached to the coil? Ben and I noticed this past weekend that an F100 had their electric choke hooked up that way. I was told before it should connect to the Stator connection on the back of the alternator.

If it isn't attached to the stator you will burn up the coil in the choke housing.

It is made to only run at 7 volts when the engine is running....nothing else.

does this help?

Then only thing that seemed left to do was find the above or come down and do it for you.

How can we get you to study automotives so we don't have as much to do for you? ;)

Aww, you know you live for people like me :) I just really need to learn how to Google a lot better, being more specific. Would help me find things better.

Have thought about also taking some auto mechanic courses at the local community college. I can repair an Amtrac engine, and it has been almost 20 years since I worked on one.

Hmmm... it'd be kinda interesting to me just to find out what a mechanic
could actually learn in a course like that. How general vs specific it'd be.

How useful it'd be to a guy with a '91 Bronco he wants to put a Mustang
computer into, let alone a guy with a Bump or Dent?

You only learned how to fix "Amtrac engines"?
...never learned something worthwhile like "private sector" engines? ;)

I never rode in one of their engines but my stepfather hated those things!
Ever'time he had to ride one to check signals his back would hurt 'im for
weeks. I told 'im "can't Jim Treadwell do that for you?, why you got to?"
Jim Treadwell thought it was cool the first couple times then got to hating
those things too. (70's 80's) "why can't you make arrangements to ride a
hot-freight instead?"

Something had happened to the policy, before he could catch a hot-fright,
then got to where he had to ride an Amtrac engine and he hated it.

By Amtrac I meant one of these

don't worry. When my grandmother found out I was going to be an Amtrac mechanic she said that she always wanted to take on across Canada.

and here I was thinking a Diesel Electric.
