Whiter light HeadLights.

I keep hearing from other forum people that I need a ballast to install superbright H4 (9004,9006,9007) bulbs on my Explorer,Grand Marquis.

I was sure that these vehicles just accept 55w-100w Blue white ,silver white bulbs without a problem with melting the assembly or too demanding on thr charging system because Ford has headlight relay's in these vehicles

No one has done this ?

I was looking around and it appears the headlights have fuses so I may have to do the realy conversion to power 80W bulbs.

If it has a headlight relay I don't see why you couldn't just plug a brighter bulb in.

Check the size of the wires whether it has a relay or not..also look to see what size circuit breaker is there. You should simply be able to change the lamps out to Silverstars, Nighthawks or the brand of your choice. I've put Silverstars in all my vehicles and been happy.

I have silver stars never had a problem. One friend had them and they would trip the breaker replaced it and was fine.
