transfer case neutral

I have got a 2001 f250 with the shift on the fly 4x4 which is controled by the knob on the dash. My question is the only selections on this knob are 2wd, 4hi,4lo ...but there is no spot for neutral . Is there a way to put transfer case in neutral on these trucks?

i hope this helps

My mechanic has told me this. i also asked him about the nuetral transfer case issue awhile ago. he told me "when you put the transmission in nuetral it also puts the transfer case in nuetral so it can be put in 4 low... i hope he was right i have never been steered wrong by him.

thank you very much. my '99 f150 had the selector stick on the floor, with the 2wd hi /4wd hi/ N / 4wd lo. and I my my '01 its controled by a turn selector on the dash. After towing one of my dodge friends 4wd YelloThumbUp , it got me thinking if i was ever in the same situation , and i dont want to ruin the drive train. ty
