7 lug to 8 lug

Hey guys,

A friend of mine just bought a 99 f250 LD, w/ 7 lug wheels/hubs. wouldnt be a bad thing but the wheels are butt ugly, and there are not too many other options. So, whats it take to convert to either 8 lug or 5, or which is easiest?

Just change the rotors/drums/axles? If he goes to a 5-lug you lose the 3/4 ton status. When I switched out the Mustang to 5-lug I used Ranger axles out back and '94-'98 rotors up front.

im not sure what rear end it has, but im assuming that the 3/4 HD axles are a bit bigger?

as for losing 3/4 ton status, thats not important as he doesnt do much towing..

I'd be willing to be Summit would have some wheel adapters for this. Or find a set of rims you like and have them redrilled.

I couldn't find much on 7 to 8 lug adapters.
