Paint Colours... VOTE!

Okay, so thanks to Skan, I have some renderings of potential paint schemes. Pick your favorite.

I really like the colors it is now. Red/White would be the colors I'd pick if I changed it. What color dash and door panels will you use?

I voted yellow because those are colors you want, but ALWAYS consider black with silver.

My favorite paint schemes on these dents are tu-tones. In order, I like red/white/red, blue/white/blue, 'hunter' green/white/green. Solid colors I like all black or dk brown metallic.

I dunno what it is, but I just don't like that color combo. I feel it's too played out...or you're and Oakland Raiders fan. I just don't feel like anything about that combo pops. Kinda like you're trying to be menacing but just can't quite pull it off grampa. Not to mention, black repaints are waaaaaaaaaay overdone.

I've been there,done that,don't plan on doing it again.Black shows scratches waaaayyyy too well.I hated that most about my Ranger.That's why I like White Rangers!

Red and White is a great color combo,but I will never get a red vehicle.In order,my dad has had since I was born:

1979 F350 4x4 Black/Red Two-tone(Bada** truck,wish I had pics)
1991 F150 Colonial White/Red Two-Tone
1995 F150 Oxford White/Red Two Tone
1979 F150 Brown/Beige originally,got repainted Red/White Two-Tone
1995 F150 Maroon(Red) Probably would've got a white stripe has dad kept it
And last but not least,his current truck:
1987 F150 Originally Gray,repainted Metallic Gray with Red Two Tone stripe.

Dad liked red,i'm sick of it.lol.

No doubt...I actually have one...but it came off the line that way. There was a time I was thinking of going all red with it, like the SkyJacker truck, but decided black was the way dad ordered it, so it was gonna stay that way. I really don't have an issue with black from the factory, but too many folks are going with black repaints. And then I just have to laugh when you look at the interior and you can see the old paint color or the interior doesn't match at all.

Good call, white/blue/white tu-tone is my second favorite color combo on these trucks...and the dk brown metallic is to die for either solid or in a combo if it has enough metallic.

That's what I hate about the Factory Black 7th and 8th gens with Red Interior,it makes it look like a repaint IMO.

I agree completely.Before I decided to keep the Brown/Beige on my truck I was gonna go for either a Tu-Tone like this,or go with light blue/dark blue.

I take my statement about not owning a red truck back.Here's what my dad's 95 looked like.If I found a 92-96 with the same color combo,I would jump on it.A little red is okay.

Damn...we must have the same taste in paint schemes, because metallic forest green, kinda like ronzi's truck is also in my top 5 favorite paint schemes. Not so sure about the grey though...grey/silver (unless there's alot of metallic) just says 'old man' to me. The only rig I ever saw that I thought pulled off grey was 79 350 sc 4x4 that was a maroon metallic/grey/maroon metallic...now that looked sharp.

That is a very sharp truck, and I wouldn't mind owning it, but as soon as it started showing signs of needing paint that grey would be gone. That's just not my cup of tea when it comes to color combos. I just don't like grey or silver as a secondary color...and I think black is over done.

Not to mention, I absolutely hate it when guys have the lower racetrack trim and then put the wheel lip trim on too. Looks too cluttered to me, like they have more wallet than taste.

Well we weren't talking about racing stripes, I thought this was just factory tutone. Your stripes look so professionally done and classy, I dunno how anyone could dislike those.

I agree on the Black/Silver(Gray) on the newer trucks,especially the 9th gens.I see it all the time on those.But not really on 6th or 7th gens,especially around here.Everybody is too chicken to have a black truck or black interior.

I said the same thing to myself about the wheel lip trim.There's no point.
