Control Arm Bushings

So on my 93 Aerostar the upper control arm bushings are worn out. I took it to a local shop. The guy snapped one bolt and couldn't get the other three out. He said they would have to cut a few holes through the frame to get to the nuts and put new ones on.

Take it somewhere else +1. With a little heat and a little patience,a good mechanic can get just about any stubborn bolt out.

It seemed to be rather extreme. He said the welds holding the bolts to the inside of the frame gave way and the bolts were just spinning. I don't want holes cut in the frame.

I agree. Find a new shop. Heat should have removed them just fine. But it sounds like they did not try that.
