I finally found a place in NC that can and does handle 73-79 trim pieces. They can refinish, polish, clean, whatever you want to do with your trim. Here's their link:

I haven't come up with any prices yet. But it surely has to beat using oven cleaner/lye and a buffer or buying a new piece.
