My casting numbers...

I had a few minutes to look for my numbers today. This is a swapped-in engine in a '77.5 4x4. I still haven't checked the stroke to tell if it's a 429 or 460. It's supposed to be a 460, but who knows?.

Can you tell anything by these numbers? Good/bad heads? Good/bad block?

Block is DOVE-A
Heads are DOVE-C
Intake is DOVE-9425-B Also on the intake is F4 and 9L7.

D0VE HEADS ARE GREAT and were used on both 429/460's


i need the date code that located in the oil galley of the heads,

it will look something like this *9L18*

Thanks for the info! I'll post the date from the heads when I take the valve covers off, but it may be several months from now.
