New Shoes......
OK, while they were fixing the blown spark plug, the ford dealership did a quick look over, and the ball joints are pretty well shot... that was why I had tire wear, not needing a alignment
asking for a price.. for both sides upper and lower was over $900!
so, I priced out parts and pieces, the ball joints and hub seals, totalled $200, and rental of the tool.
I've done these before, but never a 4x4 and not this big superduty... whats involved? I've heard I got to pull the entire hub off the which I never had to do before, including the steering knuckle... at least it may warm up to 30 degrees tomorrow.. anyone got a heated garage my superduty crewcab will fit in????
anything I should be concerned with? I cant afford their price and already ordered the parts... just hope I can get this thing back on the road, they were pretty worn..
