hey guys,does anyone know if a 53 cab is interchangeable with a 51f3?i know they are the same or similar from 49.there is one for sale local and i need a cab for my 51.thanks kevin

No, 53 was the new model and everything was changed.

Physically cabs from 48-52 will interchange, but the dash was updated in 51. So an exact swap is limited to 51 and 52.

Where are you located? I need a good 48-50 cab for my two ton and plan to cut up my 52 two ton for parts. The 52 firewall was modified by a prev owner but the rest is solid. I'd swap it for a similar 48-50 cab.............. but I live in the middle of nowhere!

yeah thats what i kind of thought,i live in southern nj.thanks for responding.i am restoring a 51 f3 and this past weekend i took the chassis out for its first roadtest.sitting on a slab of plywood and a tool box!it was fun.thanks kevin
