That's it!
I guess I asked as a reminder to those who do not find it necessary, as I have a 6.0 in the shop right now with holes in one cylinder...
It used to be that you didn't need to be a chemist, engineer, computer wizard, or a customer relations specialist to be a mechanic! Now, we be called techs!

Ok THAT was an interesting read. I had NO idea, whatsoever that I needed an additive for my coolant. What kind of coolant, or coolant additive would you recommend for my 6.0?

Try to maintain your gold motorcraft coolant. Its formulation is hard to beat.

when using tap water, the interval is cut in half.
Except in the case of Tap Water here at the lake when it's cut in 1/8th!! Our water is so hard, it'll solidify in a cup overnight!!

The thoughts are 50k. Ford originally uses distilled water, when using tap water, the interval is cut in half.

REALLY. That means mine is about due for a change then. My truck is just about to turn 49K on the clock.
