ok... i just bought a edelbrock performer series 600cfm carb for my 84 f150 and online the carb description at edelbrock.com says that it should be matched w performer and performer EPS manifolds and it says not to put it on a torker 2 or a RPM manifold...would i be able to use my stock manifold?

Yes you can use it on a stock 4 brl intake manifold. You may have to use a small spacer under the carb if there are clearance issues between the throttle linkage and the manifold.

You will probably get the same mileage and maybe a tad better power. If your carb is wore out, you might see an increase in mileage.

I wouldn't expect that much of a power increase unless your current carb is completely shot.
