Ouch...that's pretty brutal. Gonna get it welded up...or time for new headers????

That sucks. Looks like new headers are in Order. You could braze it up but with that big of a crack new is better.

I am gonna try and weld it since they are only a year old.

If you weld them Cool them down slow or they will just crack again as it makes the metal brittle if they cool to fast.

What do you think caused it?

I kept breaking an exhaust pipe when I had a bad motor mount, but that may be different than just a single cylinder pipe.

Welp got her welded up and put it back in. Took a gamble on the existing copper/carbon fiber gaskets, and it paid off! THe truck sounds awesome again!

glad you got it fixed...mine just keeps blowing out the #4 cylinders on the cheapo paper gaskets.I'm springin for the aluminum ones this next time.....that's gonna hurt.
