I thought so, I cleaed mine two weekends ago. Now the local dealer is replacing it under warranty, I'll never clean another one again, unless it's already giving me trouble.

Before reinstallation, always inspect the "hole" it came out of. See if you have coolant contamination, or excessive sooting. Its my contention that the egr valves fail for a reason, not that its their nature to do so.

Yeah, they found that the egr cooler was bad as well.
